Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I was sick the last 2 weeks with bronchitis and a sinus infection.

June 2nd was my 13th wedding anniversary. Who said 13 was an unlucky number? I consider myself to be the luckiest gal in the universe.

Other than that, not much else exciting going on.

The Spawn continues to further his goal of total world destruction each and ever day. This is facilitated by such communist propaganda as put forth by the insidious 'Sesame Street Manifesto'. Elmo is red for a reason, folks.

Finally, I have discovered the obsessive joy of City of Heroes - or rather City of Villains, since everyone knows evil rocks (throws the horns).

That's pretty much my take on it.

Morning sickness linked to smarter babies

In gaming terms, for every point of temporary Con (Constitution) loss by the mom, the baby gains one permanent point of Int (Intelligence).

Seeing that I was sick as a dog in the first trimester, and actually lost weight during my overall pregnancy, AND seeing as the Spawn knows his ABC's and can count to 20 at a year and a half (the average child learns to recognize these things at about 3 years old), I'd say he's well on his way to an 18 Int.

Now lets just see if he can hold onto his current 20 Cha (Charisma) score in the process...

Meet Smudges! (or sometimes Smudgie)

So named for the calico fur, and the big black smudge down her nose. :-)

Believe it or not, she's 13 weeks old. She's the size of a 6 week old kitten. Her mom was tiny.

Just got her today from the Salem Animal Rescue League. She's got an awesome personality. Not too wild, not too shy. Very friendly.

As you can see, she's already acclimated well. :-)

Geronimo is taking it as well as expected.
